Has anyone here ever had any discussions because of this tribe where they actually spoke to someone that was VC or angel?

Are there any real VCs or angels on this board?

    Actually, the moderator of this tribe is Fred Wilson a managing general partner w/Union Square Ventures in NYC. I can't vouch for how much he participates, but he did start this tribe, and I'm guessing for a reason.

    I know two VC's ver well, but have found nothing worthy here of sending them. No buisness plan, no proven subjects, nothing, just ideas.

    A VC can't do anything with an idea no matter how good it is.

    I know two angels, one is mine, and the other only wants the best of the best, no 99/100.

        Sure,
        A TV show, which can be good business. Concept is mine and the director is funding the pilot. It's a kids show, can't say anymore.

        And a taxi company, very simple and I proved it already when I ran a similar model for 2 years. www.tranzpo.com is a non-profit shoot off of the original, but not gonna do that for some time if at all, hasen't been proven yet.

          I started a plan a year ago for a hybrid-only taxi company, but there were so many problems that I found as I was developing the plan (which is exactly what the plan is for) that I wisely stopped and am now opening another business.

          Good luck with your plan, and let us know how it works.

      Good to know that somebody has beenfited from this tribe. I did make decent contacts, no VC's or Angels however. I didn't post my full business plan, but only requested feedback on my funding problem (currently my start-up is located in South Africa, but we are investigating a relocation to the USA)

      I'm hoping to make connections with investors, so if you can help, maybe chat to me about my company, Orbital VX...
