Re: International seed investing
Tue, August 3, 2004 - 6:00 AMI feel the same as you do...distance doesn't matter any more. We are living in a global economy, especially true for e-commerce and Internet ventures. Please send me the details of some of the VC's that are interested in international investments. I do have contact details of a few and 2 VC's have expressed interest in my company, but I would like to get in contact with a larger investment base. Thanks J

Re: International seed investing
Tue, September 7, 2004 - 2:52 PMHave a question for you....
VC related. I would like your opinion of DFJ out of CA (Draper Fisher Jurvetson). I have created a system that allows direct relationships between advertising and a product's life-cycle facilitate the JIT model, but for advertising. The platform is based on a HD network of media terminals, personal intelligence and smart content. Our company also designs display hardware that eliminates the anomalies associated with the letterbox format (black bars), by transforming the size and aspect ratio of the display to conform to various aspect ratios and viewing scenarios. Our entire system and services is controlled by a one button, multi directional remote that never looses power, uses a gesture-based system and knows exactly who's using it.
In a word, our technology is amazing, and we are fishing for VC's. I have found a few, but DFJ seems to have the most complementary investment portfolio, and the most suitable investment philosophy. We compared them to the big 10, and DFJ always comes out on top. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you in advance and I eagerly await your reply.

Re: International seed investing
Mon, September 20, 2004 - 3:46 PMI just joined tribe. I have worked with DFJ before. They are an excellent firm and very easy to deal with. As for the original question there are many international firms that are easy to deal with also. Draper himself is a great guy. I cannot fathom that a major american firm would give you any trouble if the seed company were viable. What country are you talking about? -

Re: International seed investing
Thu, January 20, 2005 - 8:15 AMOrbital VX is originally from South Africa (where we want to keep our tech development center and Marketing/customer contact operations), but the company is registered in Nevada and we want to relocate the management, financial and tech infrastructure to Las Vegas. We are however very dependant on meeting with VC's and finding suitable investors to make Orbital VX successful as soon as possible.
